Renewal price index — Indian hosting, August 2026

What this shows

Fifteen hosting providers, checked on the same day. For each one: the advertised introductory price, the price you actually pay from renewal onwards, and the gap between them in rupees.

Across the ten providers that publish a renewal price, the median increase is around 227%. Five providers do not publish one at all — which is itself the most useful column on this page.

Annualised from the monthly rate on each provider's standard term, excluding GST. Dollar prices converted at ₹88 to the US dollar on the collection date; the rupee figure will move with the exchange rate, and your bank adds a forex markup on top of it that this table does not include. The calculator does include it.

What the numbers say

+501%SiteGround has the steepest increase in the group. $4.99 a month becomes $29.99 — six times the price, and billed in dollars, so an Indian business also absorbs a card forex markup and gets no GST invoice to claim against. In rupees that is roughly ₹5,269 in year one and ₹31,669 every year after.
+493%BigRock is the steepest of the Indian providers. ₹69 a month is among the cheapest entry prices anywhere in this table; ₹409 is not. A buyer comparing entry prices alone would rank BigRock first and be wrong by ₹4,080 a year.
0%YouStable is the only provider here that does not raise the price at renewal. ₹59 a month, first year and every year after — ₹708 annually, the cheapest three-year cost in this table by a wide margin. That claim is worth testing rather than trusting, and it is now on our list to verify with a paid account.
5 of 15A third of the providers do not publish a renewal price. HostingRaja, myglobalHOST and Bluehost India all sell without telling you what you will pay in year two. That is not an oversight in a market where the average increase is over 200%.
NoteHostGator India now redirects new purchases to BigRock. Anyone searching for HostGator India hosting is being sold BigRock, at BigRock's renewal pricing. Worth knowing before you follow an old review.
FlatCloudways prices differently. Pay-as-you-go from about $11 a month with no introductory discount, so there is no renewal cliff — you pay the same rate in year three as in month one. Higher entry price, no unpleasant surprise later.

Reading this properly

The cheapest first year and the cheapest three years are rarely the same provider. BigRock's ₹828 opening year is the second-lowest here, and its ₹4,908 renewal is mid-table — so over three years it costs more than providers that looked more expensive on day one.

Two costs this table leaves out, both of which fall on Indian businesses specifically. GST at 18% is added to Indian invoices, and if your business is GST-registered you claim it back — so an Indian host's real cost to you is lower than the number above. Dollar-billed hosts carry a card forex markup of roughly 3.5% plus GST on that markup, none of it recoverable, and no Indian tax invoice to claim against.

Put those together and a ₹10,000 Indian plan and a ₹10,000 international plan are not the same price. Work out your own three-year figure here.

How this was collected

Prices were read from each provider's Indian storefront on the collection date, for the plan named in the table, on that provider's standard advertised term. Renewal prices come from the pricing page, the cart, or the terms of service — and where none of those disclosed it, we have said so rather than estimated.

Figures exclude GST. Dollar amounts are converted at a single rate for comparability, not quoted as what your bank will charge. A2 Hosting publishes a range rather than a single figure, so its row is approximate and marked as such.

This is published pricing, not measured performance. It tells you what each provider charges, not how well they run a website. Speed, uptime and support are separate rounds — see the support benchmark and the methodology.
